"Bob Slaughter, prolific songwriter, poet, artist in many regards. We play tracks from his last 2 albums, We Are Water & The River Knows, & love them very much." John Brown (Program Director at Wimberley Valley Radio)
Laughing Waters is an Austin based indie band of very talented, seasoned musicians blending & bending genres from reggae to afro to rock & touching on new-grass, country & swing. The core of Laughing Waters is a trio. Bob Slaughter & Lynette Perkins contribute finely crafted originals & Mark Sebly offers up a variety of fun loving rocking and swinging dance tunes. At times Jorge De Armas joins in on congas, Mike Fowler on fiddle & Richard Parke on mandolin. This is truly a fun & inspiring band, infectiously danceable.
“Laughing Waters are bad ass! Worth it to go see/listen. You won’t find anything like them within a thousand mile radius. Amazing music, and real people playing. It’s a real band and music/people at its finest.” Todd Culbert (Hill Country Ramblers & Ghost Jam Players)
